「日本遺産葛城修験」こども山伏修行体験

かつらぎ町にある「堀越癪観音」の住職と葛城修験の歴史を体験してみませんか？
和泉山脈から金剛山地までの一帯は、古くから「葛城」と呼ばれ、修験の聖地とされてきました。
令和２年６月、かつらぎ町など２０市町村にまたがるストーリー「葛城修験～里人とともに守り伝える修験道」が文化庁から日本遺産に認定されました。
今回のこども山伏修行体験では、住職から葛城修験やお寺の由来についてのお話を聞いた後、
修験の道を歩いて「東ノ燈明岳」などを参拝します。
昼食は地元の有名店「鳥唄山馨」のこどもにも優しいスパイスカレー。

①堀越癪観音向井住職指導のもと修験の歴史や作法を学びます
②1300年以上続く葛城修験の道を歩きます（燈明岳トレッキング）
③昼食は地元の野菜などを使った鳥唄山馨のスパイスカレー
④参加者には住職直筆の修了証を進呈

【’Japanese Heritage Katsuragi Shugen’ children’s mountain asceticism experience.】
Experience the history of Katsuragi Shugen with the priest of Horikoshi Tzu
Kannon in Katsuragi Town.
The area from the Izumi Mountains to the Kongo Mountains has long been known
as ‘Katsuragi’ and considered a sacred place for Shugen.
In June 2020, the Agency for Cultural Affairs recognised the story
“Katsuragi Shugendo – Shugendo preserved and handed down together with the
villagers”, which spans 20 municipalities, including the town of Katsuragi,
as a Japan Heritage Site.
In this Children’s Yamabushi Shugyo experience, after listening to a talk by
the chief priest about Katsuragi Shugyo and the temple’s origins, the
children will walk along the Shugyo path to visit the ‘Higashino-toumyodake’
and other places of worship.
For lunch, child-friendly spiced curry from the famous local restaurant
Toriutaiyamakaoru is offered.

held and participants will be notified after the closing date)
◆Contents◆
①Learn about the history and etiquette of shugen (mountain asceticism)
under the guidance of Chief priest Mukai from Horikoshi ShakuKannon
②Walk the path of Katsuragi Shugen, which has been followed for more than
1,300 years (Mt Toumyo trekking).
③Lunch is a spiced curry from Toriutaiyamakaoru using local vegetables and
other ingredients.
④Participants receive a certificate of completion handwritten by the Chief
priest
